Hi,
I am interested in my company doing a test of the Toad Data Point software for access to Netezza 7.2. We have previously been using Aginity Workbench.
I read the release notes for Toad Data Point 4.3 (http://dev.toadfordataanalyst.com/releasenotes/latest/ToadDataPoint_ReleaseNotes.htm).
These notes have this to say that applies to Netezza:
"ODBC connectivity provides basic querying capability, but may not be as full-featured as a native connection in Toad."
Can anyone using Toad Data Point (TDP) against Netezza explain for me what features of TDP DO NOT work against Netezza? Are they show-stoppers?
The thing I miss the most about Toad (against Oracle) that Aginity Workbench/Netezza does not have is the ability to view table data without writing select statements. Does TDP/Netezza allow this?
Does TDP easily handle the multiple "databases" that are in my Aginity Workbench Object Browser?
Thanks,
Troy
